When you have been invited to an interview you should not only remember the etiquette rules during the interview but also before it. Because you can spoil the first good impression not only during the interview but also before it.
ACCEPT Employment Center collogues provide following 4 steps to have a perfect interview:
Required instructions
You receive a phone call or an e-mail from the employer informing you about the upcoming interview with some requirements like date, time and place. It is preferable to mention several dates in order to show your flexibility and make a correct choice between the days that the best suits you. Be responsible and punctual when you are asked to call back tomorrow during the first half of the day and not in the afternoon.
Slow Reaction
Be attentive and watchful, as the employer can make an appointment for the interview through your e-mail. Avoid the slow reaction and frequently check your e-mail, especially during the searches for the job. Otherwise, the employer simply can remove your name from the jobseekers’ list.
“Please, call me later”
If you are in uncomfortable situation during the phone call, for example while driving a car or in crowd or in a noisy place, you should answer the phone and tell the situation asking to call back in a few minutes. If not, you will make too many errors while speaking and simply will not remember some important information concerning your interview.
Daily Planning
If you are busy or still working while seeking for another job, plan your schedule beforehand. Take a day off and only after this make an appointment with interviewer, because you should not miss the chance to be hired for more preferable job.
